South African MCC is our proudly local answer to Champagne: same traditional bottle-fermentation method, just with more sunshine and a better sense of humour. Since the French said we cannot call it Champagne, South Africa said, “Sharp, we’ll call it Méthode Cap Classique.” Made mainly from Chardonnay and Pinot Noir, MCC delivers fine bubbles, crisp freshness and elegant toasty notes. It is classy enough for celebrations, but relaxed enough for a Sunday lunch. Think Champagne energy, Cape personality and bubbles that know how to have a good time.
